Dive master Development Course:
Your training as a PADI Divemaster is extremely important. Not many people recognize that a Divemaster typically is responsible for the lives of people in a potentially hostile environment. This is what we have based The Coral Grand Divemaster Development Course on. As a PADI Divemaster you are expected to have excellent people skills, good rescue techniques, sound judgment and a broad knowledge of dive theory - and this is the goal we have set out to achieve.
So what is different at Coral Grand Divers?
At Coral Grand Divers the Divemaster course is taught and supervised by two dedicated staff. All the theoretical aspects as well as water and stamina skills are taught/supervised by our multilingual instructors and senior instructor staff and each Divemaster candidate is also assigned one personal instructor with whom they will assist on courses. After a certain proficiency has been reached the Divemaster candidate will then have a chance to float between the rest of the instructional staff for more experience. We will address your individual strengths and weaknesses in order to focus on the right areas during the program. Should you for example have trouble with physics then we will spend some extra time on that subject. As you are probably aware, guiding certified divers and assisting instructors is an important aspect of a Divemaster’s job. Duration:
How much time should you spend to doing your Divemaster Development Course? Good question! It really depends on how many dives you are starting with. If you are already a fairly experienced diver with more than 40 dives then it is not unreasonable to only spend 3 to 4 weeks. If you on the other hand only have 20 dives to start with then 4 to 8 weeks are more appropriate. The course can be completed in as little as 2 weeks though.
PADI's prerequisites:
1. Be certified as a PADI Advanced Open Water Diver (or equivalent).
- Be certified as a PADI Rescue Diver (or equivalent).
- Have logged a minimum of 20 open water dives prior to entry into PADI Divemaster training, and completed and logged a minimum of 60 open water dives with experience in night, deep and navigation prior to certification as a PADI Dive master.
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Be in good physical condition for diving and submit a medical statement signed by a physician. You can complete this medical statement on location.
Our prerequisites:
- A willingness to study the course curriculum and work hard.
- Flexibility, maturity and good people skills.

Increase your chances of finding a job by becoming an Emergency First Response Instructor. This excellent program has quickly set the standard for first aid programs within the diving industry and as a Divemaster you will be fully qualified to teach by participating in the Emergency First Response Instructor program. Becoming an Assistant Instructor is also an excellent way of increasing your chances of success in the diving industry.

The PADI Bubblemaker Program
Under the direct supervision of a PADI instructor, kids from 8 years and up can dive in a swimming pool or in confined open water (e.g. off our beautiful beach) to a maximum depth of 2 meters. It is an excellent introduction to the exciting underwater world and your childrens first step towards a life long passion. A perfect choice if your children are unsure if they want to persue certification are younger than the required 10 years for PADI Jr. Scuba Diver or Jr. Open Water Diver.

Getting your kids on the Team
To become official members of the PADI Seal Team, kids must complete the first 5 of 15 AquaMissions. These activities develop fundamental scuba skills and knowledge while preparing kids for further adventure.
Children learn about diving by watching the PADI Seal Team video, through the PADI Seal Team AquaMission Activity Book and during predive briefings with their PADI instructor. Each AquaMission consists of a briefing, a skill session and a game or activity.
Completing the pool dive and answering challenging questions in their PADI Seal Team AquaMission Logbooks earns young divers an AquaMission decal. Finishing AquaMissions 1-5, which is the equivalent of the skills in Confined Water Dive One from The Open Water Diver Course, means youngsters are PADI Seal Team Members. Receiving a PADI Seam Team member card and wall certificate recognizes their accomplishments and allows them to work toward PADI Master Seal Team recognition.
